OR-01 Wall Installation
Studio Parisotto + Samad designed OR-01 for Commute Design Studio as a site-specific installation for Oretta on King Street in Toronto. This upholstered wall piece reimagines classical architectural rhythm through a composition of soft arches, layered in quiet repetition. Each form is framed in hand-applied gold leaf over custom-carved wood, enclosing panels of hand-dyed cotton. Up close, the textile surface reveals a marbled, tonal texture with subtle crackling, giving the piece a painterly softness and depth.

Constructed in hand-dyed cotton, gold-leafed wood, and plywood backing, the installation is designed as a custom composition. The finish includes naturally aged gold leaf and matte-sealed cotton.
