Art Toronto 2025
Commute, also known as Studio Parisotto + Samad, works at the confluence of art, design, and interior architecture. For over two decades, the studio has created interiors and environments where light, material, and narrative act as structure—spaces that hold emotion and memory as much as form.
Our artworks have long existed quietly within those worlds: layered panels, sculptural reliefs, and suspended mobiles conceived as integral parts of place. Art Toronto marks the first time we present these works independently, outside the interiors they were born to inhabit.
Each piece carries the same sensibility that defines our design practice—rooted in material exploration and a pursuit of atmosphere. We work across plaster, wood, metal, and pigment to evoke the passage of time and the tactile presence of memory. The works are neither decorative nor detached; they are fragments of larger stories, distilled into objects that stand on their own.
Based between Toronto and Casumaro, Italy, Studio Parisotto + Samad continues to develop a language that bridges architecture and art—where the built and the imagined meet in quiet, physical form.
